PH: AUDIENCE FEEDBACK: Male and Females aged 16-17

AUDIENCE FEEDBACK: Male and Females aged 16-17

This is a recording I did of a Year 12 media class at my school and they talk about what they liked, disliked, if it fit with the indie genre of music and what they thought could be improved.

PH: AUDIENCE FEEDBACK: Social Media

MORE FEEDBACK

I posted the most recent full cut onto my Facebook page, this was to try gain a wide response of audience feedback as it would be extremely helpful to see what people of mixed age, gender and music taste would think to it.

So far the feedback has been excellent! As I expected I've had different ages all commenting with positive feedback and also two previous media students praising it and giving constructive criticism, which is fantastic as they got full marks last year!

Audience feedback: Digipak and magazine advert 5

Audience feedback post 16 student (Tom)

1. What genre do you think the digipak is aimed at?
-Indie/rock
2. What do you like about it?
-The lyrics on the inside panels, front cover and 2nd inside panel are the most effective.
3. Does it look professional?
-yes.
4. What could be improved?
- The inside 1st panel doesn't fit with the rest and the line across same face.

Audience feedback: magazine advert feedback 4

Audience feedback- Sam (Sly antics lead vocalist)- late 20s
Sam liked the 2nd magazine advert the best (the boots in the water) and the bold lettering but his criticism was:
He didn't like how I split Captive city over 2 lines.
Use the colour combination pink and black and grey and white.
Next
I will take on the criticism and work on it in my next draft.

Audience feedback 3:magazine Facebook

Audience magazine feedback-Amber Pianforini- (age 18)
She liked the magazine adverts however her criticisms were:
I could play around with the water in the 2nd advert using the CS6 liquify option
Move the Captive city logo to the right so it doesn't over lap with the lamp post
Move the debut album text down and elongate the pink line
Next
I will now play around with these to make the advert neater.

Audience feedback: Digipak 2

Audience feedback post 16 student (Lucy)

1. What genre do you think the digipak is aimed at?
-Indie/house
2. What do you like about it?
-Layering, it grabs your attention, large font and likes how the back, front panels correlate as well as the lyrics on the inside panels.
3. Does it look professional?
-yes but the cover looks the most professional.
4. What could be improved?
- All the text should be in the same font also the inside first panel could also link to the city like the rest of the panels.

Magazine adverts: draft 1

Rough teaser advert drafts
After playing around with the new cutout font I have over layer these with one or multiple images which after lowering the opacity has create one larger image. The faded image fits with the Indie genre due to the unfocused effect seen in many of The 1975's art work.
The 1975 art work
However the image its self is not good enough quality to enlarge it any more as it is a screen shot and so not big enough to be a magazine ad. So I tried layering it on top of another larger image and then lowering the opacity. The finished product is not very good but I needed to see the effect created to then expand on it. This is a very rough first draft.
The text and how I will progress
As this is a teaser advert it will have minimal text on it so my next draft will contain the release date of the Digipak/album with I have decided will be the 30.09.16 as it is around the end of this year and the album title Captive city. As the poster will not be giving much away it will create hype surrounding the band and its new material.
Audience feedback
After receiving audience feedback they said that they liked the layers but that they didn't like the shadowing of the numbers or the fabric like effect.
