Planning how we would get to the warehouse location
Lucky my dad agreed to driving me and Paige to the Warehouse location so I researched the best route to travel, this route is seen below.

On the shoot we travelled to the band rehearsal space in Todmorden near Hebden Bridge to film the last needed green screen footage.
What went wrong/right
It took me and paige a while to put up the green screen we used masking tape to hold the sheet up. Fortunately there was was large flat wall in the bands central recording space. We found some step ladders to help us reach the top of the wall. 

The shoot took around 10 minutes to film the song three times from multiple angles so we finished with plenty of time.

During Saturday we filmed all of the warehouse scene, cafe scene and moorland shots. 
We arrived 30 minutes early to set up the lights and set. In this time we also filmed a lot of footage of the empty space inscape we needed filler shots. The band arrived with 2 cars and their instruments and a change of clothes (white shirt and black trousers). They then preceded to get breakfast whilst we set up the shrine i.e putting out man candles to light later and stick up the band photos up on the wooden board we found as the stone wall behind was too wet. 
What we did
When they returned we first filmed the car pulling into the under ground car park, setting one camera up to face the car head on and another to get a side on view. Then we filmed the band stepping out of the car and then the bagman getting out of the car. 
What went wrong/right
It went smoothly. Even though we reshot the car pulling in a few times. Also the band didn't take direction well at first but got better through out the first scene.

Then we moved into the warehouse filming the band walking the whole way. The we split up and filmed the band walking around the main warehouse space separately to help get a variety of shots. Then we filmed the bagman (my dad) in different positions within the space. 
What went wrong/right
Unfortunately we accidentally caught each other on film once or twice. We learned from this mistake for the next shoot. The band took direction very well.
What we did
Then we moved on to the shrine scene. Within this we filmed a variety of shots from extreme close ups of the band photos to long shots of the band coming across the shrine. 
What went wrong/right
We had trouble lighting the candles as they were slightly damp, making the process very time consuming. And also we tried to film the bands breath which was very predominate as the air was very cold however this did not come across well on film. 
What we did
We then moved on to the scene where the band change into bagmen whilst on the chairs. Again we filmed the journey to the space as it was a 3 minute walk just incase we needed filler footage. We then filmed the band coming across the chairs from the front and back and then sitting in them which we again filmed from different angles. The band then went off to change onto their bagmen outfits whilst we filmed the bagman (my dad) sitting in a single chair as well as taking a few potential shots to be used in the digipak and magazine advert. When the band returned we then re shot them in the same positions in the chairs directed by us to make sure they were sitting exactly as they were in the previous shot to help continuity when editing the transition of character. 
What went wrong/right
It was difficult to make sure the band members were in the exact same positions for both shots. Also as I was trying to pan around the band I couldn't use a tripod therefore some of my shots were shaky. 
Overall
Overall the shoot went better than imagined as we had planned it so throughly and made a list of everything needed so nothing was forgotten. The band also reacted better to direction as the shoot progressed.

Band:
The three members of sly antics were all dressed in clothing stereotypically worn by an indie band for  example the Indie bands Catfish and the bottlemen, the Kooks and Noah and the whale wear jeans, monochrome shirts or teeshirts and either a leather or denim jacket.

So we put sly antics into similar clothing, jeans monochrome tee shirts and or shirts with either a denim or leather jacket.

Masked figure:
We wanted the masked figure to wear the same outfit as in the original video to help with the continuity. So we put him in a white shirt buttoned up, dark jean trousers, black shoes and the mask.

Elderly cast:
We asked the elderly cast to come in their normal everyday clothes as we wanted it too look quite relaxed and un-styalised. This consisted of comfy trousers (not really jeans) a simple shirt or t-shirt and a cardigan or plain jumper. As the edit would be black and white the colouring of clothes didn't really matter.

For this shoot we needed minimal props, however each scene had a few to help the mise-en-scene. 
Warehouse:
100x Tea lights (bought from tescos) and matches (these helped the shrine scene to look more realistic)
Printed pictures of the band (printed in local supermarket and to make the shrine scene look more realistic)
3x masks (hand made)
Lights (for lighting the set, brought from home and borrowed from a friend)
3x chairs (brought from home, we chose these chairs as they looked old and plain which fitted with the run down look we were going for)
Travelling shots:
2xCar (the band brought one and we brought the other)
Cafe scene:
Cups of tea for all cast (provided by cafe)
Bands instruments (provided and brought by band)

Casting for the part of bagman
In Sly antics video Intro   they include a masked figure at the end 

to create a link between the two videos we wanted to follow on the story and include the masked man. As he is masked it didn't need to be the same actor playing the the masked man in our video so we chose someone who was around the same build and height so the two looked quite similar and the follow on would be obvious. That person happened to be my dad which was convenient as he was available on any date or time.

As sly antics came to us via the social media platform twitter we didn't need to do much casting as we would centre the band in our video.

To fit our idea of having a scene centring a cafe full of older people we need to get at least 10 elderly cast members. Firstly we went to the centre for the elderly in Ilkley to ask if anyone would be willing however as our filming fell later on in the day it wasn't possible. 

So then Mr Burrows suggested some of his neighbours, who worked at a home for the elderly, would be able to help so they were contacted but due to late notice and one neighbour being on holiday this also didn't go ahead. So I then started asking my own neighbours if they would be willing to help out and even though many said they couldn't enough people said that they could. We asked them to be at the Outside the box cafe for 4.

I have located Outside the box cafe in Ilkley to shoot the cafe scene in which the band will perform to an elderly and unresponsive audience. This will hopefully create an unrealistic and strange feeling to the video. The interior is unique and jazzy this will re enforce the alternative theme of the video. 

To do this I went to the cafe and enquired about a free space

Finally I have located a space to film the abandoned building scene in. It is near Leeds in Rodley and contains many open plan rooms as well as an underground car park. For this shoot we will need photos of sly antics, 3 masks, 3 chair's and a one of their posters. These are some photos of the space we will be filming in.

Our Idea Explained

INTRO
We want to start with varied shots of Leeds to carry on with their last video and then also some countryside shots. Then close up shots of the band packing up from a gig/rehearsal space, not showing their faces only their bodies, instruments and set ups. 

MAIN BODY 
Then we see them getting into their car, this is where we are introduced to the man with the "smile bag" on looming in the background. After this we see them driving through a city and we see some interesting camera shots, to where we get to a cafe.
In the cafe the band are doing a gig, surrounded by elderly people, the man with the smile bag is there watching from a corner table. He get a text to where the next gig is and then gets up and leaves. We then see them back in the car again but this time we move into the countryside with varied shots of moorland etc. We then see a series of shot of the band moving around the car and the man with the bag is in the car too.
We see a extreme long shot of an abandoned shack and cut in until we get inside the building. The band wander around the building and surrounding area and then shots with the man in the background appear, in each shot he is getting closer and closer to the band and at the end there is a sort of black out and when the lights come back on the band are sat tied to chairs with the smile bag on.

Conference Calling

 Conference calling helps people to have a phone call with more than one person, this is perfect for us as we need to ring the band but both Molly and I need to be calling them.  

(IPHONE ONLY INSTRUCTIONS)

• It works by ringing one person as you normally would, then when they answer pressing on the circle with a plus in the middle. It also says underneath "Add Call". 

• It then takes you to your contact list where you can choose who to ring next. (it puts the first person on hold though for the time being). Your first caller may need to be aware of that so that they do not think that you have put the phone down on them.

• Once your second caller has picked up you can merge the calls by pressing on the circle with the arrow in the middle, it says "merge calls" underneath too. When you have merged the calls the first caller will be taken off hold.

 Once you have merged the calls you can keep adding people to the conference and you can all speak and listen to each other.

I found an online site called Dummies.com  that tells you exactly how to make a conference call while using an android phone.

Using new media such as text, email and Twitter we have communicated with Paige who I am working on this project with.                                                     

This extra communication has helped us to finalise our idea by sending ideas that have come to us whilst not being at school quickly and efficiently to each other.
